CROSSTRAILS

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Crossroads services have combined efforts to protect pets placed in danger when they are in hostile domestic environments. This program is called Crosstrails. Persons seeking the aid of Crossroads personnel can protect their animals by having a volunteer from Crossroads bring that animal to the VTH. Please make every effort to accommodate and process these animals for Crossroads personnel.

Thank you for your support.

1.                  Each Crosstrails animal should arrive with a complete history.

2.                  Under NO circumstances should any VTH personnel contact or have knowledge of the actual owner of these animals.

3.                  The receptionist will provide the clinician with required paperwork.

4.                  Each pet will receive a physical exam and appropriate vaccinations, including kennel cough for dogs and panleukopenia for cats. If in doubt – vaccinate.

5.                  We will house these pets up to 48 hours. A Crosstrails representative will pick them up and take them to a foster home.
